Mrs. Margaret Heatherington died Sunday night, September 4, 1921. The funeral services were held at the home of Mr. & Mrs. E. O'Hare on Tuesday afternoon, September 6, Rev. Ralph V. Calloway of the First Christian church officiated. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Heatherington, whose maiden name was Margaret Corben, was born in Rome City, Indiana, August 29, 1850. She was married to Nelson Heatherington October 8, 1868. She and her husband took up their residence on a farm near Rome City, where they lived for the first few years of their married life. Then they came to Whiteside county, IL and resided near Emerson, later moving to the eastern part of the county, where they lived till the death of Mr. Heatherington, which occurred September 27, 1913 near Dixon, since which time Mrs. Heatherington had been making her home with a daughter, Mrs. E. O'Hare, 1205 First ave, Sterling.

Mrs. Heatherington was the mother of eight children, six of whom are living. The children are Ina, who later was Mrs. George Manon, and a son, Frank, these two being deceased, Mrs. E. O'Hare of Sterling, Walter B. of Albany, Mrs. Ora Bock of Millard, Neb., Mrs. Manda Bonar of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Clyde of Erie and Mrs. Alta Bennett of Dixon.
