Find A Grave ID

I like photographing headstones, especially the old ones. It's important to document the old stones before they are gone! We like going to the little country cemeteries, who knew it was this addicting?

I have photographed several cemeteries in Whiteside, Lee and Bureau counties. Many memorials I make I have researched through online newspapers, local library resources and ancestry. I enter them with the thought that a family member or descendant may be searching for them. Knowing that there are errors in these old newspapers and documents, please keep that in mind when researching your ancestors. If you have conflicting, valid information, please let me know. This is a group effort!

I will gladly transfer memorials within Find a Grave guidelines (and I'm not related) if you promise to take care of them!

PLEASE practice good genealogy and do your own research!! Not every tree on ancestry is right!

My personal lines of research include: Wilson, Carter, Mumford, Besse, Slaymaker, Burns, Blean, Showalter, Lawrence, Petersons, Drapers, & Hammonds.

Happy Hunting!
