Richard Franzmathes was born in Smith County, May 26 1879 and departed this life April 15, 1909, aged 29 years, 10 months and 19 days. He was married to Miss Minnie Pilcher January 30, 1901. April 16, after short services at the house the remains were followed by a long line of sorrowing relatives, friends and neighbors to the Crystal Plains church where the sermon was preached by Rev. Templin after which interment was made in Crystal Plains cemetery. He leaves a loving wife, father, mother, six brothers and four sisters to mourn his loss.
