Survivors: husband, John; daughters Connie Gibbs, North Fort Myers, Fla.; Halene Barney, Portage, Ind.; son, Bill Beason, Beecher City; stepsons, John Cox Jr., Georgetown; Robert Cox, with the military in Germany; stepdaughter, Kim Sue Simpson, Urbana; brothers, Richard, Max and Wayne Armstrong, all of Shelbyville; Russell Armstrong, Bethany; Bill Armstrong, Decatur; Leo Armstrong, Lakewood; sisters, Pat Bialeschki, Farmer City; Maude Baldwin; El Paso, Texas; Jessie Polley, Decatur; Marion Lorton, Riverton; Glenna Taylor and Eileen McElroy, both of Beecher City.
Memorial services: 2 p.m. Friday, United Methodist Church, Cowden. The body will be cremated. Arrangements: Renner-Wikoff Funeral Home, Urbana. Memorials: United Cerebral Palsy or donor's choice.
