TAYLOR, Aug 23 - The body of Mrs W. L. Van Liew, who died late Saturday, was shipped to Houston Sunday by the Forwood funeral home for burial Monday. Services will be conducted from the Settegast Kopf temple in Houston Monday. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. M. A. Woods of Dallas, and two sisters, Mrs A. R. Markham of Dallas and Mrs. Ella Cross of League City.

Mary (Kirk) Van Liew was a daughter of Robert S. Kirk from Indiana and Mary Brown from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Miss Mary Kirk married William L. Van Liew on February 15, 1888 in Galveston, Texas.
Sister: Ella (Kirk) Cross, b. Nov 7, 1872, Texas - d. Jan 20, 1948, San Diego, California - Father: Kirk, Mother: Brown, per California Death Index. She was the widow of Thomas J. Cross.
Niece: Miss Daisy K Hawley, daughter of Daisy Kirk and Thomas J. Hawley, who were married November 17, 1884 in Galveston. She lived in Dallas with her grandmother, Mary A. (Brown) Woods.
