Native of Georgia; son of the late William and Minnie Mitchell Thrasher; husband of Elva Grubbs Thrasher.
Retired from Startex Mills.
Also surviving are sons, James Kenneth Thrasher, Levy Jefferson Thrasher, Jr., Marshall Thrasher, and Benny Lee Thrasher; daughters, Elsie Mae Thrasher Wood, Martha Thrasher Henderson, Diane Thrasher Wood, and Josephine Thrasher Johnson; brothers, Frank Thrasher and O. Z. Thrasher; sisters, Fannie Thrasher Crawford, Aline Thrasher Lanford, and Florine Thrasher Scott; 26 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 1986, at Lanford Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Hubert Hatley; burial in Green Pond Memorial Cemetery.
