Dorothy Louise Edelen, 89, of Jeffersonville formerly of New Albany, Indiana and Lexington, Kentucky passed away October 28, 2019 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1930 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late Charles T. and Mary Hughes Mattingly.

She was retired from Macy's and was a parishioner of Out Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George L. Edelen; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Gary A. Edelen and his wife, Susan; two grandchildren, Jarrod Edelen and his wife Jennifer and Amy Medcalf and her husband, Gary Neal; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Haley and Kaitlin; and a brother, Donald Mattingly and his wife, JoAnn of Frankfort, Kentucky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow at 2:30 pm in Lebanon National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Published in The Courier Journal, October 30, 2019.
