Mrs. Cecil May Hamilton
Ill for a week, Mrs. Cecil May Hamilton, wife of Wayne Hamilton, R.R. 3, Morgantown, died Thursday night in the Johnson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and will be in the Clark Funeral Home. The Rev. Graham Chittum, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church, will be in charge of the services and burial will take place in Rest Haven Cemetery at Edinburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home at any time after 7 o'clock tonight (Friday) and until time for the services, which they are invited to attend.
Mrs. Hamilton was born May 22, 1900, in Bartholomew County and her parents were the late Alvin and Nettie Coy Wirey. When she was a child the family moved to the Hopewell community and she attended the school there.
At Franklin on Jan. 10, 1925, she became the bride of Mr. Hamilton and two children were born to them. For 40 years the family has resided in Morgan County.
She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
The survivors are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Len Price, of Franklin; a son, Robert Hamilton, of Edinburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Others who remain are four brothers and two sisters, Floyd Wirey, of Trafalgar; Marion Wirey, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Orville Wirey, Mrs. Margaret Wantland, Mrs. Esther Warren, of Indianapolis; and Oris Wirey, of Dunkirk.
