Mrs. Mary Foust Dies in Illinois
Mrs. Mary E. Foust, 84, died at 4 a.m. today at her home in Lawrenceville, Ill., after an illness of several years and a serious illness of 10 days. Her death was attributed to paralysis and heart trouble.
The decedent was born on July 8, 1860, in Jackson township, Wells county, a daughter of Samuel and Catherine Huffman Batson. Her marriage to Andrew J. Foust took place about 60 years ago.
Mrs. Foust was a member of the Church of Christ of Lawrenceville, where she had resided for the past 20 years.
Surviving besides the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Ada Ahlf of Lawrenceville, Ill.; Mrs. Clara Wendt, of Mitchell, S. Dak., and Mrs. Catherine Schickran, of Frumright, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. L. J. Beavans, McNatts, and Mrs. Homer Knott, of Marion.
The body will arrive in Warren Sunday evening and will be taken to the home of a nephew, Gus Beavans, in Warren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the Church of Christ in Warren with Rev. Donald Poe officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery.
