Louise Elizabeth Robinson, 90, passed away peacefully at Harvest Guest Home in Richland Center on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Louise was born in Bloomington, Wisconsin on April 29, 1929 the daughter of Vincent and Laura (Duve) Nies. She attended Lancaster High School where she graduated in 1947. Soon after she met Allen ‘Pete’ Robinson and they were married in April 1949. The couple spent two years farming in the area and after their first son was born, they moved to California, living on ranches and four more children were born. After spending many years there, they moved back to Wisconsin and started farming near Fennimore, building a registered red and white Holstein dairy herd. Upon retiring and selling the farm, they moved to Muscoda. Louise loved farming, crocheting, knitting, quilting and did beautiful embroidery and cross stitch work. Her latest project was the completion of baby quilts for the arrival of a great-granddaughter Freya Martin, who came into the world 3 weeks ago.

Louise is survived by her children: William (Ladona) Robinson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Marnee Robinson of Muscoda, Bruce Robinson of Highland; daughter-in-law: Renee Robinson of Muscoda; 7 grandchildren: Samantha Robinson, Nathan Robinson, Miranda Robinson (Scott) Martin, Ryan Robinson, Christine Mueller, Joseph Mueller, Michelle Robinson; step-grandchildren: Crystal (Dan) Stivarius and Britney King; many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Lila Shaben of Van Wert, Ohio, Carolyn Robinson Kane of Platteville; very special friends Jim and Mary Napp of Lancaster.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years Allen ‘Pete’, brother Clarence, sister Velma Hansch, sons Richard ‘Dick’ and Ronald, 2 half-brothers, half-sister, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Per Louise’s wishes private graveside services will be held at the Union Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Fennimore American Legion, 860 Lincoln St., Fennimore at 1:00 PM. Memorial’s maybe directed to the family to be donated the Muscoda Public Library in Louise’s name. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
