The Rev J B Green, 82, Arab, Ala and formerly of 130 N Buckeye St, Bellevue, died in Alabama Thursday in the Marshal Medical Center North.
He was born in Jenkins, Ala, the son of Thomas and Callie (Swaford) Green.
Rev Green was retired from the Ford Motor Co in Sandusky, where he was a supervisor for more than 26 years. He had been the bishop of the Church of God of Prophecy in the Sandusky, Vermilion and Bellevue areas.
Survivors include sons Danny of Sandusky and Roger of Republic; daughters Debbie Hunt and Joan Montgomery, both of Bellevue, and Patsy Peel of Bradenton, Fla; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother Eugene Green of Ohio; and sisters Willimae Norwood and Dessie Eaton, both of Alabama.
He was preceded by his wife Elssie V Green in 1997 and son J B Green Jr.
Visitation: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday and 11 am to 1 pm Monday at the Foos & Son Funeral Home, Bellevue.
Services: 1 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
