Shirley Lee Blocker, 61, of Manila, Arkansas, the widow of Franklin Blocker Jr., died Monday, May 27, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Roy Elvin Laxton and had been a longtime Manila area resident. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Plains Church of Christ.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Blocker Churchill; brother, Elvin Laxton; and sisters, Odalene Hunt and Teresa Laxton.
She is survived by her sons, Roy Dale Blocker of Paragould and Robert Wayne Blocker of Manila; daughter, Katrina Boles of Bridgeman, Mich.; mother, Fannie Hicks Robbins of Crawfordville, Fla.; brothers, Kenneth Dean Laxton and Jerry Laxton, both of Crawfordville; and sisters, Pauline Bodiford of Crawfordville and Charlene Martin and Frances Walker, both of Manila. She also leaves seven grand-children and seven great-grand-children.
Funeral services were at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with burial in Lulu Cemetery near Senath, Mo.
