Jerry Don Laxton, 67, of Rosie, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Jerry was born January 27, 1955 in Pleasant Plains, AR to the late Roy E. Laxton and Fannie Norine (Hicks) Robbins. Jerry was of Christian faith and attended church at Southside Missionary Baptist. He enjoyed reading and studying the bible. Jerry was a hard-working man. He was very good with his hands and was skilled at many trades, earning him the nickname "Jerry-Rig". He enjoyed spending time in the shop doing mechanic work, building houses, plumbing, hanging sheetrock, and basically anything that needed done. But most of all Jerry loved his Lord and savior Jesus Christ and his family.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Laxton, his daughters, Michelle Lewis (Teddy), Annette Chavis (Patrick), Shannon Hartsfield (Eddy), and Julie Core; his brother, Kenneth Dean Laxton; his sister, Pauline Bodiford; and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents; 4 sisters, Odelene Hunt, Shirly Blocker, Frances Walker, and Teresa Laxton; and one brother Elvin Laxton.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. There will be a graveside service on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 10 AM at Maple Springs Cemetery in Rosie, AR with Bro. Ross Sturch officiating.
