Nannie was the daughter of David A Houck and Rachael (Talley) Houck. Nannie married Lenox Martin K Boone on October 3, 1871 in Putman County, Indiana. Her family lived on the next farm over from Lenox's in Putnam County in 1870. They were the parents of Effie May, Nellie, Lena "Lennie", Lycurgus William "Curge W", John Edward, Ross Albert, Mabel Clara, Lulu Olive, Gertrude Blanche, and Verner Allison.

Both sets of parents continued to live in Indiana.
