Ida May, daughter of Joseph E. and Elizabeth Glasgow, was born in Cass County, Nebraska, May 18, 1889, and departed from this life March 15th, 1925, in Superior, Nebraska, after a short illness, at the age of 35 years, 7 months and 27 days. Her parents moved to Peru, Nebraska, while she was an infant, and there she grew to womanhood, and graduated from Peru State Normal. After her graduation she taught for a number of years at Western, Nebraska, and at St. Francis, Kansas. She was married to J. A. Christenson at Omaha, Nebraska, Nebraska, June 14, 1916.Three children were born to this union, Althea Dean, Donald , and an infant son, all of whom survive their mother. The Christenson's moved to Superior in September of 1921, where they have since resided. When a girl of twelve years old Mrs. Christenson joined the Methodist Church at Peru, Nebraska, and became a member of the Methodist Church in Superior when they moved here. She has not only been an active member of the church but has taken a very active interest in Woman's Club and Community welfare work. Besides her parents, children and husband she leaves two sisters, a twin, Mrs. Iva Hansen, of Safford, Ariz., and Miss Harriet Glasgow, a teacher in the schools at Wahpeton, North Dakota; three brothers, Hal, superintendent of the schools at Craig, Nebraska, and Joe and Bert at Humboldt, Nebraska. Mrs. Christenson was an ideal mother, a faithful wife, a loyal friend and an earnest, consistent Christian. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Monday evening, March 16, at 5 o'clock, with a large concourse of sorrowing friends in attendance. On Tuesday morning the body was taken to Peru for burial.
