Lydia was the youngest child of Samuel and Lydia (Hadley) Cox. She married James Redfearn on 5 Feb, 1816 in Ross County, Ohio. Due to her marriage outside the faith, she was dismissed from Quaker Society on 20 Apr 1816 at the Fall Creek Monthly Meeting. She and her husband James raised 8 children: Austin Nelson Redfearn, Eleanor C. Redfearn, Nathan Elwood Redfearn, Milberry H. Redfearn, Isaac John Redfearn, Lydia Hadley Redfearn, Emily E. Redfearn, and James Quinn Redfearn.

This cemetery is quite overgrown with brush and leaves. This not Lydia's exact grave site but probably close.

NOTE: some secondary sources list her as previously married to a Rains. There is no documentation so far on this. Plus, given her birth year, this would be doubtful.
