DEMPSEY Y. ARCHER DIES IN HOSPITAL

Dempsey Y. Archer, a resident of this city for the past thirty-five years, died at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Joseph's hospital. He had been in failing health for a number of years but his condition did not become critical until recent weeks. Mr. Archer was a well known resident here and was born in Jackson county.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Kimes funeral home and interment will follow in Mount Olivet cemetery. The Rev. Hugh H. Brown of the First Christian church will officiate and the body will remain at the funeral home until after the services.

The deceased leaves his wife, Mrs. Anna Archer; one son, Pfc. Audra N. Archer of Camp Murphy, Fla.; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Archer at home; four brothers, M.O. Archer of Racine, Ohio, M.H. Archer of South Parkersburg, E.S. and J.G. Archer of this city.
