Mrs. Nancy Caroll Spangler, age 76, of Eden, passed away early Thursday morning, December 17, 2015, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Mrs. Spangler was born in Pulaski, Virginia on January 15, 1939, a daughter of Nick Harbour and Nannie Hancock Witt, both deceased. She was a retired private duty nurse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Hansford Spangler, her brother, Bob Witt; her sister, Brenda Pulliam; and her grandson, Joey Hamilton.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Fain and husband Mark of Reidsville, Colletta Smith and husband Randy of Stoneville, Samantha Mullins and husband James of Eden; her sisters, Geraldine Long and husband Bob of Ruffin, Phyllis Long of Eden, Launda Witt of Eden, Carletta Chilton of Gastonia; her brothers, Larry Witt of Eden, Jerry Witt of Winston-Salem, Jack Witt and wife Nancy of Reidsville; and her grandchildren, Josh, Chris, Bradley, Tracy, Dylan, Christin, Travis, Nicholas, Zekara; great grandchildren, Gray, Alyssa, Joseph and Jayden.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home, and other times at 710 West Avenue in Eden. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
