Marvin Dale Gowing, 84 of Cottage Grove, OR passed away on August 16, 2019. He was born in Eugene, OR to parents Earl and Nellie Vaughan Gowing on April 6, 1935.
Marvin served in the Army National Guard and worked for 39 years for Weyerhaeuser, retiring in 1997.
He loved fishing, training horses, hunting and hot rod cars.
Marvin was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and married Marie Yearous in Cottage Grove on July 1, 1956.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; daughter Kelly Daniels (Rick); son Jeff Gowing (Celia); sisters Nina Aubrey, Maxine Reed, Wilma Ryder; brother Melvin Gowing; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 1:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church, 77873 S. 6th Str., Cottage Grove.
