John Lloyd Wilson, 79, died Sunday, July 7, 2019.

Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Refugio to Estelle Winsor and Morris Wilson. He grew up in Refugio and graduated from Refugio High school in 1959. He worked for Transco/Williams as a mechanic/pipeline inspector for about 45 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Loretta Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Gumm Wilson; two brothers, Edwin (Sue Beth) Wilson and David (Laura) Wilson of Rockport; two sisters, Nancy (Albert) Van Ness and Maureen Moehr, both of Refugio; two daughters, Leigh Ann (Jeff) Brown of Portland and Cheryl (Chris) Houston of Euless; two sons, Lloyd (Lori) Wilson of Portland and David Wilson; and seven grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, with Pastor Roger Fancher officiating at A Little “Britt” of Heaven in Refugio.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of South Texas in Victoria.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Victoria Mortuary and Cremation in Victoria.
