He was born March 6, 1929, the son of the late Harrison and Virginia Brinkley Rusmisel.
He was retired from BARC after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Rusmisel was a member of the Millboro Presbyterian Church; past member of the Millboro Masonic Lodge; a member of the Millboro Ruritan Club; and served with the Millboro Volunteer Fire Company. He was an avid turkey hunter and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by two children Jeff Rusmisel of Millboro, Virginia and Alan Rusmisel of Birmingham, Alabama; three grandchildren, Kyle and Rachel Rusmisel of Birmingham, and Patrick Verhaegen of Millboro
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Meritt, Alva, Van, Stanley and Kenna Rusmisel; and 1 sister, Minnie Loan.
A funeral service will be con ducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, at the Woodland Union Church in Millboro, with the Reverend David George off ici atma. Interment will be in Woodland Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 8:00 p.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Union Church, Millboro, Virginia 24460.
