Irene was born on June 20, 1930 in Dalton City, Illinois to George C. and Matilda (Hissong) Badman. She married Preslie Warren Reed on August 24, 1947 in St. Elmo, Illinois. She was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church of rural Brownstown, Illinois. She was a member of the St. Elmo Home Extension Association, Royal Neighbors, and was a resident of the St. Elmo community since 1933. Lillie was an excellent cook and nobody left hungry after eating one of her meals. She and her husband were previously engaged in farming.
She is survived by her two sons, Leslie Reed of Beecher City, Illinois, Larry Reed of St. Elmo, Illinois; two daughters, Linda Rider (husband Michael) of Maple City, Michigan, Nancy Arnold (husband David) of Brownstown, Illinois; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maltilda Badman; husband, Preslie Reed; four brothers, Henry Badman, Leonard Badman, Kenneth Badman and her twin, Eugene dmnaBadman; four sisters, Ora Logue, Lucy Dial, Marie Logsdon, Mary Jane Badman, and one step-great-grandson, Chris Wolfe.
