Dr. Gerber was a private practice internist in Warren for 26 years and wrote a pair of best-selling books on vibrational medicine and healing. Relatives said he was devoted to his family, friends and patients. They said the world was a better place when he was here. Family members will remember his gentle voice, daily prayers and wisdom, which influenced many. His family will also remember the way he lived his life whenever they look for a quiet hero to emulate.
Dr. Gerber is survived by his wife, Lyn Gerber; father, Dr. Myron Gerber; stepmother, Toby Gerber; brother-in-law, Greg (Linda) Todd; and nieces, Katy Johnson and Courtney Todd.
He was predeceased by his mother, Natalie Gerber.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Dorfman Chapel, Farmington Hills. Interment was in B'nai Israel Cemetery, Novi.
