Edward was named after his paternal grandfather Edward Daniels (1735-1814) also a Revolutionary War Veteran from Captain George Enslo's 6th Company of the Bedford County, Pennsylvania Militia. Both of Edward's grandfather's were Veteran's of the Revolutionary War as was his father Daniel.
Edward died from Scarlet Fever just weeks after his 16th birthday. He was buried on his father Daniel Daniel's farm near Sideling Hill in what is now Fulton County with a field stone grave marker. About 20 family members were buried here over several decades. The stones, on private property, have now largely disappeared.
