"In the Allegany Reporter is an obituary notice of Jonathan Richardson, who died in Whitesville, Allegany County, on the 8th inst., at the advanced age of eighty years. The Reporter says: The deceased was born in Massachusetts. His father soon removed to New Hampshire, and in 1804 removed to Livonia, where he [Jonathan] resided until May, 1839, when he removed to the town of Independence, where he has since resided. He has always been prominently known among his fellow men as a very zealous and enthusiastic Free Mason. He became a Mason in 1821, in Lodge No. 52, in the town of Livonia, and in 1824 a Chapter member." (April 23, 1880, The Livonia Gazette, NY)
