Fred L. John, 61, of Adrian RD 1 died at 12:05 p.m. Thursday at his home. A World War II Army veteran, Mr. John was a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church, Adrian, and a former employe of Kittanning Brick Company at Reesedale. Born April 15, 1911 in Washington Township, he was a son of John Adam and Martha (John) John. Surviving are his wife, Elma (Gray) John; three sons, Eugene of Grant City, Ill., Benton of Adrian, Terry of Kittanning RD 3; four daughters, Martha Boyer of Kittanning, Mrs. Glenda Pennington of Renfrew RD 1, Mrs. Doris Harshman of Adrian, Gaye John, at home; a brother, Preston John of Kittanning RD3; three sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Bowser of Kittanning RD 7, Mrs. Parks John of Adrian RD1, Mrs. Hazel Wolfe of West Sunbury; 13 grandchildren. JOHN - Friends of Fred L. John, who died Sept. 21, will be received at the family residence after 7 p.m. today. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Brush Valley Brethren Church, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Kidder, church pastor. Burial will be in Ford City Cemetery. Arrangements by Snyder of Cowansville.
