He was the second to youngest of nine children. He spent his childhood in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1968. Ken was a jack of all trades. An electrician by trade, he built a house for his family doing everything himself but the plumbing, could fix almost any car until they became too computerized and could outlast anyone’s patience on any project. He also did bridge straightening work with a local company that took him all over the country and even across the globe to Kuwait. He retired a number of years ago, but never stopped working on little projects and could always be found tinkering on an engine or building something.
