Bertha Henrietta Louisa Wilhelmine Meier was the 10th of 14 children of Ernst Friederich Christian Meier, b. IL and Frederike Wilhelmine Carolina Krehmeier, b. GER. She was married to (1) Thomas Turner Goldsmith and (2) Orthy Jacob Barringer. She had four children with Thomas Goldsmith: Lucinda Naomi, Thomas Turner, Jr., James Tolliver, and Viola Earnestine Goldsmith. She had no children with her 2nd husband whom she married in 1935. She died in 1981.
