Bertha Tennison Hefley-Turner, 89, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Kent Winter officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner was born in Gould, Okla., graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1930. She moved to Amarillo in 1942. She retired as a PBX Operator from First National Bank and was named Banker of the Year in 1972. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Anna Sunday School Class.

She married Clyde Turner in 1957 at Lubbock.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Rogers of Amarillo; a sister, Ina Lou Bawcom of Amarillo; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and longtime caregiver Don Rogers of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to World Family Harvest Church.
