Bob was born in Muskogee, OK, on November 16, 1942. He is the son of the late Rev. Billy Harris and Wauhillau Adkisson Harris. He married Thelma Marie Smith on May 29, 1968 in Muskogee, OK. Bob and Thelma raised three children, Bobby Harris Jr, Tracy Harris Emmons, and Greg Harris.
Bob enlisted in the Air Force in July 1964, completed his basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX and was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. He then transferred to the Air Force Reserves where he was stationed at Tinker AFB in OKC, OK. After being Honorably Discharged from the Air Force, Bob enlisted in the Army National Guard and was stationed in Muskogee, OK. He was Honorably Discharged from the Army National Guard in March 1974. Bob’s career started at the US Army Corp of Engineers then he spent 3 years welding for Port City Steel before going to work at CRC-Evans Pipeline Equipment in Tulsa for 34.5 years where he retired in 2004. One of Bob’s greatest accomplishments was giving his life to the Lord 13 years ago. He faithfully attended Old Mission Church where he proudly served the Lord as a Deacon. In his spare time, Bob loved to hunt, fish, and cook. Some of his most precious memories were sharing these things with his children and grandchildren. He was active in the American Legion Post #20 in Fort Gibson.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Harris of the home; his children, Bobby Harris and wife Deanna of Fort Gibson, Tracy Emmons and husband Kevin of Collinsville, and Greg Harris of Fort Gibson; his honorary son, Joe Dale Parker and wife Pat of Muskogee; his grandchildren, Zachary and Noah Harris of Fort Gibson, Clark Heslar of Muskogee, Caden Hilger of Billings, Montana, Conner Hilger of Katy, Texas, Avery Hilger of Collinsville, Josh Emmons of Ponca City, Megan Barabasz of Ponca City, Seth Emmons of Ponca City, Matthew Harris of Okay, Bailey Harris of Fort Gibson; his great-grandchildren, Zayde and Hallee Heslar of Muskogee, Mattie and Kohen Emmons of Ponca City, Mason and Maddox Choate, and Cole Barabasz all of Ponca City.
