Billie Arlene Disney, 80, a lifelong Fort Gibson resident, was born March 19, 1938 in Fort Gibson, OK to Reverend Billy and Wauhillau (Adkisson) Harris and took her Heavenly Flight Sunday, March 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Billie was a lifelong member of the Old Mission Church in Fort Gibson, OK. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always had words of encouragement for anyone who knew her.
One of her many passions was Genealogy and she was a charter member of the Fort Gibson Genealogical Society. She was most proud to be a descendant of Nancy Ward, beloved woman of the Cherokees.
Billie Arlene married her sweetheart on August 8, 1963 and during their 55 wonderful years of marriage they were blessed with two daughters, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Disney of the home; daughters, Nancy Winn and her husband Tom of Muskogee, Bonnie Coy and her husband Brad of Fort Gibson; grandchildren, Jennifer Winn of Eufaula, Amanda Stang and her husband Eric of Muskogee, Charlie Disney and his wife Spencer and Lacey Coy all of Fort Gibson; great grandchildren, David, Kaleigh, Bryar, Justin, Ellie and Harper; two brothers; two sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A memorial service celebrating Billie’s life will be held 2PM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Bobby Wingo, Clyde Powell, Delbert and James White officiating.
