Funeral Services Monday for Mrs. Virginia Walker


Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Virginia Walker, 74, widow of former County Commissioner Crittenden H. Walker. The rites were held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. George P. Plummer, of Laytonsville. Burial was at Forest Oak Cemetery, Gaithersburg.


Mrs. Walker had been in ill health for a long time. She was formerly Virginia Coomes and was well known throughout the county.


She is survived by three sons, N. Walter and Crittenden H. Walker, of Gaithersburg and Cooke Walker, of Washington, and one daughter, Mrs. Plummer, at whose home she died. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Sallie M. Farr, Mrs. Susie Austin and Miss Elizabeth Coomes, of Washington.
