Gordon E. Emerson ,88, died at home on May 30, 2019. Born May 22, 1931 in West Newbury, VT, he was the son of Walter and Anna May (Merrill) Emerson. Gordon previously lived in Bondsville for many years and worked as a machine operator and machinist for various companies before retiring from Flex Con in Spencer. He served his country during the Korean War. In his leisure, he had a passion for cars and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his dog Shamrock. He will be deeply missed by his 2 daughters, Dorothy Lech (John) of Palmer and Melody Robbins (Michael) with whom he lived, and grandchildren, McKenna Burgos (Kenny), Jeremie Robbins and Katrina Robbins. Besides his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie L. (Dunkerton) in 2016 along with his granddaughter Shannon Harkins (2007) and his 9 siblings. All services are private and have been entrusted to Beers and Story Funeral Home. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
