While the 1997 survey entered 21 Aug 1863 as her birth date, the parish register entered a birth date of 24 Aug and a baptism of 30 Aug. Her parents were Gjert Johannesson Johnson (1828-1904) and Brita Christensdtr. Skeie Johnson (1831-1900). Both are buried in the Bethania Lutheran Church Cemetery at Perley, Norman County, Minnesota.
