Mr. Bussells attended Hampden-Sydney College and graduated from the University of Richmond. He was a vice president and trust officer of the former Virginia Trust Company.
He was a direct descendant of Colonel Joseph Ball of Lancaster County, Va. and was a member of the Jamestowne Society, the Society of Colonial Wars, Sons of the Revolution in the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Society of the Cincinnati. He was a communicant of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and a member of the Country Club of Virginia. A private service will be held at Hollywood Cemetery.
