Missouri Francis Hale died April 11, at the age of 83. She had been an invalid for several years and suffered acute illness several days prior to her death.
She was the daughter of George and Katherine Rush and was born in Wayne County, IL, September 12, 1867. She grew to womanhood and has spent her life in the vicinity of her birth.
In early life she was converted and united with the General Baptist church, being a charter member of the Round Prairie General Baptist church. She remained a member of that congregation until death.
She was united in marriage with Jesse A. Hale, September 10, 1884. Twelve children were born to this union; six of whom, an infant daughter and a daughter, Ruth, and four sons, Jasper, Charlie, Albert, and Jesse, have preceded her in death. Mr. Hale passed away April 13, 1936.
Surviving are two sons, Walter and George; four daughters, Myrtie Spitzner, Easter Tibbs, Marie Bullard, and Dorris Ballard; three brothers, William, John, and Curtis Rush; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 13, at the Round Prairie church with burial in the Hale cemetery.
