Bartholomew Amack was a Civil War Veteran who served in the 23rd Missouri Infantry and the only thing found that places him in Iowa is the Headstone Provided for Deceased Union Veterans of the Civil War which indicates that his stone was sent to Carlisle. His wife was Julia Ann Wilson whom he married in 1867. They had 3 children before he died about 1872. The date of death has to be incorrect incorrect on the headstone provided card since it says he died in 1867. He and Julia had three children after that. Most online family trees indicate that he died in Missouri . His wife's obit indicates that her first husband died in 1873 and she remarried in 1875.
