Graveside services for Billie Corder, 83, of Spur will be at 11 a.m. today at Spur Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Henderson officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

He died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at the Crosbyton hospital.

He was born May 2, 1917, in Anson.

He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army in World War II. He married Ava Buske Jan. 5, 1942, in Stamford.

He was a self-employed water well contractor for 30 years in Spur.

He was a Baptist and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 7212 in Spur.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ricky Corder of Plainview; a daughter, Connie Rainbolt of Arlington; a sister, Bobbie Thorpe of Big Spring; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
