Mrs. Cassels passed away on Tuesday. She was the daughter of the late George and Martha Jane Guinn Rogers. She moved to the Pompano Beach area in 1950. Emily taught at Pompano Beach Elementary School. Her husband, Lloyd C. Cassels passed away in 1968. He was one of the founders of the Baptist Village, now known as John Knox Village. Emily is survived by 2 daughters, Peggy (Mark) Taylor of Pompano Beach, Patti (Jim) Furgerson of San Antonio, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Darin and Douglas Delegal, Timothy Taylor, Jim and Michael Furgerson; and 5 great grand children; Shawn, Jared, and Lauren Delegal, Jase and Meredith Furgerson. Family and friends may call from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Saturday, June 16th at the Kraeer Funeral Home on Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home followed by interment at the Pompano Beach Cemetery. Donations may be made in Emily's name to the South Texas Children's Home, P. O. Box 1210, Beeville, Texas 78102.
