Iris a daughter to Elias Gardner had a twin brother, Ira Gardner. Often their names are mistakenly interchanged. The Annabella headstone can be read Ira or Iris further causing confusion.. Ira was buried in Richfield in 1930 dying of a brain tumor at the age of 52. In the 1900 census both Ira & Iris were with brother John in Annabella. Ira married Sarah Martina Hansen of Richfield 8/4/1920 and would have been in his late 40's at marriage. Ira also had a nephew Ira Walter Gardner also causing record problems. Provided death certificates show the distinction between the 2 Ira's. Iris is buried in Annabella and died young at the age of 24.
