She was born August 16, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Chancey Loren and Cristie Lavera Christensen Stewart. She married Lawrence Smith Dimick, August 14, 1935 in San Francisco, Calif. He died March 9, 1969. Alene married Edwin Hardee, January 16, 1976 in Elko, Nevada. He died March 9, 1992.She was an active member of the LDS church. Alene devoted many hours of volunteer work as a "pink lady" at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. Her greatest love in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Larry D. and Doris Dimick, Mrs. Lloyd L. (Lee) Orvin, Michael and Eileen Dimick, and Mrs. Lynn (Shauna) Rowley; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Owen Stewart and Melvin Stewart.
