Mary Imogene Fowler formerly of Emporia died on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was 88.

Imogene was born on March 19, 1931 in Allen, Kansas the daughter of Truman and Lena Madsen Day. She married Jule F. Fowler on November 16, 1949 in Emporia. He died on May 23, 2015 in Emporia.

Surviving members of the family include: children, Julie Huffman (Roger) of Fountain Green, Utah, Janet Budd (Rack) of Emporia, Jeanne Williams (Larry) of Nowata, Oklahoma, Joanie Harris (Harris) of Nipomo, California, and Judy Powell (Mike) of Nowata, Oklahoma; a sister, Dorothy and brother, Charles; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, Jim, Jeff and Jery.

Imogene was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a zealous teacher of Bible truths. She was married to the love of her life for 66 years. She also leaves behind many dear friends whom she looks forward to seeing "just around the corner."

Cremation is planned, with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Chicago Mound Cemetery, Emporia. Memorial contributions to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses may be sent in care of the funeral home.
