James A. Fowler, 65 of rural Emporia died at his home on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Cremation is planned.

James Andrew Fowler the son of Jule and Imogene Day Fowler was born Saturday, November 11, 1952 in Emporia. He married Bonnie Neiman on Sunday, June 7, 1981 in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other surviving members of the family include, a son, Andrew Fowler of the home; two daughters, Summer Steffen of Wichita and Lynda “Libby” Fowler of the home; his mother Imogene Fowler of Emporia; five sisters, Julie Huffman of Utah, Janet Bud of Emporia; Jeanne Williams and Judy Powell both of Nowata, OK and Joanie Harris of Nipomo, CA; and one grandson, Archer Steffen of Wichita.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Jule; and two brothers, Jeff and Jerry.

He was an electrician, and was the Branch Manager for Shelley Electric Co. He was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church in Emporia and NECA.

His memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the first united Methodist Church, 823 Merchant in Emporia.
