Alonzo Waltz, a call fireman in Everett, succumbed to heart failure on the street as he fought his way home after roll call at the station house.

WALTZ - In Everett, Dec. 5 Alonzo F. Waltz aged 70 years, 7 months, 10 days. Funeral services will be held at his late residence 17 Plumer street, Thursday Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Among the victims of the great snow storm in Boston was Alonzo F. Waltz of Everett, Mass. Mr. Waltz who was seventy years old, was the oldest member of the Everett Fire Department. He collapsed after walking through the snow to Everett Square Sunday evening. His death was pronounced due to heart trouble brought on by exertion. He had been a member of the Everett department for 40 years. Mr. Waltz was born in Waldoboro and has always made frequent visits here at the home of his brother Lendon C. Waltz.
