Mrs. Delia Staton Powell, 86, of 266 Canyon Rd., died Tuesday at 1am at the home of a daughter of natural causes. Born Aug 29, 1879, a daughter of Benjamin and Mary Ann Capps Staton. Married the late Oliver Powell (about 1896?). She was a resident of Greenville S.C. until January of 1965, when she moved to Salt Lake City. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors are a daughter Mrs. H. L. Ginn, Salt Lake City and a son Elzie C. Powell of Greenville. Funeral Thursday 2 pm in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 E South Temple, where friends may call at the mortuary, Wednesday 6-8 pm and Thursday before services.
