PHILIPSBURG - Requiem Divine Liturgy will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Hawk Run for Sophie Clark Miller, 81, of Philip sburg, who died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at 7:39 p.m. at Philipsburg Area Hospital.

The Rev. Charles M. Kovich will officiate. Interment will be at Philipsburg Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg.

A Panikhida service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born Sept. 15, 1923, in Hawk Run, she was a daughter of John and Anna (LeFrovich) Brenish.

She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Hawk Run.

Mrs. Miller was employed at Penn State University for a number of years.

On Nov. 22, 1947, in Philipsburg, she wed Norman William Clark, who died March 24, 1969. She then married Harry A. Miller June 28, 1980, in Philipsburg. He died April 22, 1988.

She is survived by two daughters, Rita C. Tulowitzki of Tyrone and Trish O'Shea of Houtzdale; a step-son, Donald Miller and his wife, Bonnie, of Morann; four grandchildren, Lori Ferner and her husband, Greg, Todd Tulowitzki and his wife, Jessica, Eric O'Shea and his wife, Angeline, Justin O'Shea and his wife, Keri; two step-grandchildren, Donald Miller and Casey Knepp and her husband, Ethan; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Verna Brenish of Philipsburg and William Brenish and his wife, Carol, of Elysburg.

In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Ducar, Anna Scheck, Betty Brenish, Helen Cole and Margaret Wojtowich; and five brothers, John, Andrew, George, Peter and Michael.
