DUNMORE - Andrew Brenish, 77, of Marcus Street, Dunmore, died Monday Dec. 28, 1992, at his residence.

Born in Hawk Run, Dec. 13, 1915, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Leferovich) Brenish.

Mr. Brenish was the husband of the former Agnes Smerick who survives. They had been married 44 years.

A member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Dunmore, Mr. Brenish retired in 1976 from Chamberlain Corp.

He was also a retired coal miner, a member of the United Mine Workers and the International Association of Machinists.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3474, Dunmore.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Brenish is survived by four daughters, Carol Paczkowski, Tunkhannock; Donna Whitaker, Vienna, Va.; Elizabeth Genello, Rome, N.Y.; and Ann Marie Heffron, Olypant; and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers: Michael Brenish, Syracuse, N.Y.; Edward Brenish, Philipsburg R.D.; Peter Brenish, Philipsburg; and William Brenish, Elysburg; and four sisters: Helen Cole, Port Matilda; Sophie Miller and Verna Brenish, both of Philipsburg; and Margaret Wotowiczm Clifton, N.J.

Funeral services were conducted from the Thomas J. Golden Funeral Home, Dunmore, on Wednesday. Divine Liturgy was sid at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
