Dougherty, 77, died at her home at 405 S. Main St., Nappanee, Tuesday morning, Dec 29, after a three weeks illness. She was born in Kosciusko County July 14, 1882. Her parents were Henry and Mary (Ringgenberg) Berger.
On Feb. 21, 1906, she married Noah Dougherty who died in October, 1947.
Surviving relatives are one son, Noble, of southwest of Nappanee, and one daughter, Miss Esther, Nappanee; three sisters: Mrs. Estella Cline [sic], Nappanee; Mrs. Rosa Yarian, South Bend; and Mrs. Cora Morrison, Wabash; also two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Nappanee E.U.B. Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 E.S.T. Rev. Howard Walker will officiate assisted by Rev. G. M. Peters of Ebenezer E.U.B. Church. Mrs. Dougherty was a member of the E.U.B. Church since youth. Burial will be in the Bremen cemetery.
