Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in Grace Evangelical United Brethren church at Nappanee for Ervin E. Berger, seventy-two years old, who died at 12:30 p.m. last Wednesday, June 18, at his residence at 358 North Locke street in Nappanee after an illness of several months. He was born in Kosciusko county, Indiana, and his marriage with Ella Bellman of Bremen occurred November 25, 1909. Surviving relatives are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Knepp, and four sons, Richard, Harold, Stanely and Dale Berger, all of Nappanee. He leaves also one brother, Milton H. Berger of near Nappanee, and five sisters, Mrs. Charles Kline and Mrs. Noah Dougherty of Nappanee, Mrs. Lawrence Conrad of Bremen, Mrs. Samuel Yarian of Goshen, and Mrs. Dale Morrison of Wabash. There are eleven grandchildren.
Rev. C. S. Overmyer officiated in the funeral service and burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
