Joe Ehnes, 76, of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the Norwood Center following a battle with cancer.
Born September 28, 1928 in Daysland, AB. Joe was a son of the late Nicodeumas and Bertha Ehnes.
He is survived by his wife, Martha of 53 years; son, Randy (Sharon) and daughters, Vivian Mattia, Constance (Steven) Ehnes-Cwiak and Holly (Phil) Auger; grandchildren: Adrienne and Chantal Mattia; Caley and Justin Ehnes, Vanessa (Karl) Dobson, Bryan, Alanna and Renata Auger and one great-grandchild, Joshua Dobson.
Joe was predeceased by his brother Tony Ehnes, and sisters: Minnie Eckle and Sister Bernadine.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at South Side Memorial Chapel (8310 - 104 Street) where a Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. South Side Memorial Chapel, Patterson, Mittelstadt & Justik. 432-1601.
